My name is Gaelen Armstrong (left, b. 1984), and I’m from the Canadian Rockies. Martin Brodeur (right, b. 1953) is from Rhode Island. This website is a sample of the art the two of us have created together. Most of our work is handmade copper sculpture with an emphasis on complex textures, rich patinas, and inspired designs. We also use silver, gold, wood, stone, and other natural materials.

This About page is an introduction to our philosophy. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

OUR PERSPECTIVE

What you surround yourself with is a reflection of the qualities you value. Martin and I prefer art that elevates the viewer and creates a profound sense of wonder and appreciation. Our goal with each piece is to create elegant, captivating designs, and to use unique textures and patinas to express something beautiful and worthy of a person’s attention and environment.

QUALITY & PRECISION

We think every aspect of art deserves the artist’s full consideration. It’s important to us that each element and material in a piece reflects the quality and sophistication of the art itself. We use copper from Norway and the Great Lakes; local red oak and walnut; stainless hardware; elastomeric adhesives; we make our own patinas and do our own framing. We love the work we do, and we take pride in the care given to every component.
